My name is Aaron and I grew up in San Diego, but have lived in Los Angeles since May 2008. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to get married and start a family. My favorite memories growing up were always when my extended family got together on a monthly basis to celebrate a holiday or someone’s birthday. I can still hear the commotion of a dozen and a half people chattering and having fun, interrupted only by my grandmother’s corn chowder coming out of the kitchen and my grandfather telling another story from his days as a sports writer.
When I accepted Christ at the age of 12 (thanks to my parents, Anthony and Lindy, forcing me back to church and an observant youth pastor getting me plugged in), my world changed and my community grew. I saw the value of surrounding oneself with people that aren’t just believers, but followers of Christ (there’s a difference). Eventually, that would inform my criteria to find a wife that was equally yoked—and what that really meant!
As time passed and various relationships didn’t pan out, I began to wonder if God would ever fulfill my desire. After all, it was nearly 20 years after when I expected it to happen for me. Then I met Mandy and it was if we had known each other forever. She matched criteria that I didn’t even know that I should have been looking for. We came into each other’s lives at just the right time when we needed to meet, for God prepared us to be who we are at this very moment and not any sooner or later.
As we begin this next chapter of our lives, I look forward to seeing us growing in faith together, becoming a power couple for Christ together (ask us about that in person), and building up my entertainment company with her incredible encouragement and support.
